We help you plan your holiday step by step from deciding whether to drive or fly, airport transfers, ski hire, ski passes, ski school, restaurants, local taxis and all the summer activities on offer. We put you in touch with our partners direct that have given us competitive rates and great service over the years. We don’t take any commission we just want our guests to have the best experience possible.

Driving to Morzine

Over the last 20 years we have driven as many times if not more than flying to the Alps. When the kids were small, we used to pick them up from school on a Friday afternoon and be in the Alps by Saturday for our evening meal.

Morzine is approximately 600 miles from London. The drive takes about 8 hours on the French side from Calais to Morzine plus the journey you have in the UK to reach the Euro Tunnel. The Euro Tunnel only takes 35 mins to cross the channel and they are super-efficient at loading & unloading the trains at both ports.

We normally use about 3 tanks of fuel during the return journey from Calais to Morzine including what we use around the resort. The motorways are always clear (apart from half term, which takes extra planning). The tolls on the motorway cost approx. 65 euro each way so you must weigh up the costs against flights, airport parking, transfers ect. We almost drive every summer and stay over along to way to extend our holiday.
